There are quite a few things to look for when picking out which virtual airline to join. Hopefully this will help you decide if New York Air is the virtual airline for you.

• We do not require any test taking and are welcoming to all pilot skill levels. Whether you are new to flight or you are an experienced real world airline pilot, we won't judge you.
• We offer help to those that ask and our community forums are very active in helping out with many aviation questions.
• We offer tutorials on many different topics whether it is regarding real world aviation or simply how to fly online. Our Pilots Resource section is a one stop shop for many questions.

• At New York Air you are able to fly on either VATSIM, or IVAO. We also give you the option to fly offline.

• FSACARS which simulates the real world ACARS. With this program we can track your hours, flights, payload, fuel. With this data we put together a monthly report to see the progression of the company.
• TeamSpeak Communication allows our pilots to communicate with one another whether they are flying or on the ground.

• Many of our members have different schedules and we are scattered out into different time zones making it sometimes hard to organize a group flight. Our scenario based events have shown great success and prove to be a lot of fun.

• We don't require a minimum amount of hours. We understand that this is a hobbie and we feel that you should be able to fly when you want.
• We offer flight plans and destinations that where flown by the real world New York Air, but we are open to our members creating their own flights.
• Some of our pilots choose to fly from one destination to another, and some like to hop around the map.
• Overall, New York Air and FlyVirtual believes you should enjoy this hobbie. So, we operate in a laid back manner yet we try to keep it as realistic as possible.
